send me an angel

Pretty crazy stuff to be doing on a bike and I can see these guys never got the bulletin that BMX was dead. Making it even sicker me thinks. After watching the trailer and some of what's on the website http://www.odysseyelectronical.com/ I really, more than before, think that tricks on a track bike are gay. All the guys who are sick at track bike ballet are gonna be bummed this summer when the hype is gone and everybody is fingerboarding on their i-phones. For the time being I will be doing sitting sit ups and working on the pythons to ensure I have a sweet spiral to pitch to the bros on the beach. later dude.

Abandon ship!

I hope this doesn't mean the cycling boom is over, if there ever was a boom. Whelst strolling in Shimokita I happened upon a shop selling all kinds of bikes. They had everything from mamachari shopping bikes to old road frames. In the mix there were a couple of track bikes that were fully complete. The shop owner said that after the summer the owners got rid of them. I thougt they were going to be regular prices but I guess buying a used bike, riding it and reselling it makes it more valuable. I asked about buying parts but it was a no go because, unlike the road bikes the track bikes had to be sold complete. Just makes me wonder what it'll be like in two years. Tonnes more vivalo frames on the heap me thinks.

GAY AS FUCK

Why do people take the time to record this shit and post it on the internet. I chose this clip because it is short in length and the watching kook makes a gay comment in the end. Why do kooks always do this? Do they really need to videotape this shit and add shit like "more coming soon" kike anybody gives a fuck. Last night I was having a post ride beer with smoking lurker and this guy rides by on a fixed gear. The lurkers only comment was "way to ride on the sidewalk, idiot". It made me laugh.

HERO eh's dome piece

On the way home from the skatepark hero eh(!) had a run in with one of the chains they use to block the parking lot. I guess, in homour of the Kamikaze, she took a dive and won the long skid contest with her face. There in the cold on her own she found herself on the pavement holding her grill. Long story short, she biked home, changed and then came over to hang out. Kayo was shocked and the doctors checked her over. Now she's fine but I know fer sure I couldn't have handled a slam like that.

RIP Sheldon Brown 1944-2008

it's a sad day for me, even though i never knew the man personally. he did so much for me and others in the way of bicycle knowledge and all-around humour. he eventually succumbed after fighting a long and brave battle with multiple sclerosis. for more info on (and from) sheldon, start here: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/ he's off riding the big bike in the sky, and he will truly be missed. think of him the next time you're on the bike. thank you sheldon, and have a great ride.

see you on the road,
