That ride looks like it was so much fun! Imagine hopping on a train and getting off somewhere in the countryside, riding a ton before lunch and havinga beer before dashing off to beat the rain. I can't even imagine how much some of those bike would've cost around that time. They would be worth a lot more today. It looks like they're riding pretty fast too.
there's a similar service available here - or at least it was last summer, when it was launched as a pilot project. not sure if they're going to continue or not, but it was basically this: you hop on a via train at union and it takes you out to the niagara region and you ride around for the day in the countryside and then return home on the 6 pm train (or something like that). i wanted to do it, but never got around to it. if they offer the service again this summer, i'm going to try it out. update: just noticed they'll be doing it again this year: http://biketrain.ca/
